Pythians All -It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of PSR and Grand Trustee Larue Cross last evening, May 2nd. Brother Larue has been a mainstay of Welcome Lodge #37 in Muncie for many years serving in many capacities and many years as Treasurer. He served as Chancellor Commander of the Golden Spur team. He was Sheik Emeritus of Al Hilal Temple #33, DOKK. He was proud of serving as a member of the Indiana Pythian Home Board of Directors for years and continued his service to the Grand Lodge serving as Grand Trustee at his death. Larue did several ritualistic parts in the Pythian Order and did them to perfection. He will absolutely be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His health had been failing , especially since losing his beloved daughter Susie. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Brother Chris Cross, Friend Gloria Jefferson and the entire family. Pythians All – These are the arrangements for PGC, Grand Trustee, Sir Knight LaRue Cross: Calling will be 3:00 to 7:00 on Monday May 8th. You may call again one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. The funeral will be at 12 noon on Tuesday May 9th with all of this taking place at Meeks Mortuary, 415 E Washington Street, Muncie, IN 47305. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. If I understood the plans correctly, there will be a Pythian Memorial Service incorporated as part of the funeral service with Brother Chris Cross leading it.
